May Day in Meeteetse is a jam packed weekend event! In conjunction with the Annual Spring Garage-a-Rama, this town will be full of fun. Friday begins the Spring Garage-a-Rama, so get your maps and fill in your punch cards to enter to win a free t-shirt. Get your treasure! Saturday brings the Spring Garage-a-Rama, so get your maps and fill in your punch cards to enter to win a free t-shirt. Fishing will begin in the morning on either the Upper or Lower Sunshine Reservoirs, judging will be at the Lower Reservoir, just above the bathrooms on the flat area. Sunday is the Fishing Derby on either the Upper or Lower Sunshine Reservoirs with judging again at the Lower Sunshine Reservoir, just above the bathrooms on the flat area. Make sure you have entered all 6 fish that you can by today as the prizes will be handed out at the donation dinner in the cafeteria at the School. Door prizes, placement winners and calcutta winners will all be handed out, don`t leave empty handed, almost no one does.

Meeteetse Museums is an umbrella organization that includes the Charles Belden Photography Museum, the Meeteetse Museum, and the Bank Museum.Its mission is to promote discovery and learning by collecting, preserving, and interpreting Meeteetse`s natural, cultural, and artistic heritage for the benefit of its local, regional, national, and international audiences. It accomplishes this mission by providing programming that is free to the public. This programming includes permanent and temporary exhibits, educational seminars, culturally-based entertainment, and organized tours to significant archaeological and historical destinations near Meeteetse. We also serve the public through our oral history collection program and by offering free archival research. 10th Annual Meeteetse Ice Fishing Derby

Meeteetse`s 10th Annual Ice Fishing Derby where teams of up to 3 people compete for the biggest overall catch between 6 fish for the weekend. $75 per team with a Small Fry division that is free for kids 12 and under. On the Upper Sunshine Reservoir from 8am to 2pm. Judging from 2pm to 3pm each day.
