Wapiti / North Fork
Heading up the North Fork out of Cody is a beautiful scenic drive with great views and most of the time lots of wildlife. This road not only takes you to Yellowstone but also takes you to Wapiti. The location is named after the Cree Indian word for elk. There is dining options, and other activities nearby. Keep an eye out for the wildlife!If looking for somewhere to do laundry check in with the Yellowstone Cut Throat Guest Ranch and also Yellowstone Valley Inn.

|The park is a fantastic place for outdoor pursuits and facilitates hiking, camping, bird watching, hunting, and is Wyoming`s premier wind surfing reservoir. The local fishing is excellent and is open all year round, although a Wyoming state fishing license is required. Fish species include rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout and cutthroat trout. Water surface is approximately 8,000 acres and campsites are located near by so you can plan the perfect weekend of fishing!
State Park Permits are required and May 1 - Sept 30 cost $6.00 per day and $9 per night. October 1 - April 30 they cost $4 per day and $6 per night. They are available for purchase at House and Barn.
