Comfortable, modern Guest House on a small (240 acre) horse and cattle ranch. Enjoy the panoramic views from the front porch of the Beartooth and Absaroka mountains as well as Heart Mountain to the south. Kick back and spend time watching the wildlife - eagles, hawks, antelope, white tail and mule deer are frequently on the property, and the occasional coyote passes through. Fishing on the Clark's Fork River is nearby as is hiking in Clark's Fork Canyon and other mountain trails. Look for elk, mountain goats, big horn sheep and bear in the nearby mountains. Cody and Powell are each 30 miles away, the scenic Chief Joseph Highway is 15 miles away and takes you to the Northeast entrance of Yellowstone after a breathtaking mountain drive. (You may see more wildlife on this drive than in the park!).

The cabin is available during winter months and conveniently located 1.5 hours from Cooke City and "Top of the World" snowmobile trails.

Bring your horses on vacation with you - there are corrals and pasture available and numerous trail rides locally, ranging from mountain terrain to "old west" badlands.

They were all pretty friendly and responded in a timely manner.
Was a perfect ranch house in the countryside, just what we wanted. We even got to see the milky way at night. We loved the mountainous views and the horses in the yard.

Easy to talk to and no hassle renting, we have used your service 4 years in a row.
We were treated more like family than renters, they made their equipment available to use to help clean our deer. Could not find a better place to stay for hunting.

Excellent! The agent is how we learned about the Beartooth Loop. Also, she stayed on the phone with me at time of reservation and answered all my questions about where the advertised pictures were taken. This is probably one of the main reasons we chose this property.
GORGEOUS AND BEAUTIFUL! Where else can you see the Milky Way on a clear night and hear wildlife in the distance? We absolutely love this place!! Setting was fantastic! PET FRIENDLY - we wouldn't have looked at this property if it hadn't been. The property is absolutely gorgeous and exploring Clark was great! The owners were friendly and really made us feel at home which is always a plus for us!

Rob and Ande were great hosts. Loved the horses! Great location and very cozy! August is a bit of a dry time to visit Wyoming, would select a different time of year next time.

Welcome to the North Forty Guest House!

We are happy you have chosen to visit Clark, Wyoming for your vacation. Below are a few notes regarding the Guest House and Clark to help make your visit more enjoyable.

This is a working ranch and people will be coming and going to check on the animals
and watering. Feel free to hike around and enjoy the place, but please be aware that the horses and cattle are all large and unpredictable. The horses in particular can be very enthusiastic about visitors and some nip when they want attention. They are best petted over the fence for your own safety. They mean well, but can be pushy.

We have 240 acres, 120 on each side of the gravel road after you enter the ranch. The property is contained by almost totally uninterrupted barbed wire fences on all four sides (one gate in the SW corner, and one in the SE corner). Enjoy hiking around the property but remember this basic rule: if you find a gate open, leave it open. If you find a gate closed, leave it closed.

There are several waterways and "ponds" on the property. None of these are natural - they are all man-made irrigation features. We would not recommend swimming or letting animals or children play in these.

WILDLIFE: There are pronghorn antelope and deer (white tail and mule) on the property. They tend to hang out in the Southeast area when they are not eating in the large field to the front. Deer and antelope abound! In the sky you will likely see red tail hawks, golden eagles, crows, geese, sandhill cranes, chukkers and other smaller birds. We have never seen a bear on our land but they are reported along the river frequently. Two wolves were seen on the southeast pasture a few years ago. Please realize you are literally on the edge of a state forest and in the Yellowstone ecosystem. In the canyon there are
often mountain goats, big horn sheep and a mountain lion was recently spotted.

Children/Pets - Please keep children and pets under your control and supervision at all times. There are rattlesnakes and other hazards. Dogs chasing wildlife is strictly prohibited in Wyoming.

Cell Service/WiFi - It is unlike either will be available at the Guest House. However, if you go to the back porch of the main house there is a cell booster right inside and you might get a signal.

Activities: If you like to fish, you can obtain a license at the Edelweiss on the main highway. There is a public access fishing area on the Yellowstone River on the Main Road you came in on.

The Clark's Fork Canyon has great hiking and fishing opportunities.

Please note the following additional fees apply to every rental:

- A lodging tax is assessed on your rent rate.
- A cleaning fee is charged based on the size of the unit.
- A $39 damage insurance policy provides $3,000 in damage protection during your stay. You may decline this charge, but will be assessed a minimum $250 refundable deposit.
